The ability I'd most like to have? Since I'm writing about a jinn (genie), I'd like to have some of her powers, such as catching a breeze and floating along with it or sensing what humans are thinking/dreaming about. Basically flying and mind-reading, but with a subtle difference.

I don't usually think about what ability I'd want. But I think being an Elf like in Lord of the Rings where you are mystical, beautiful, deeply magical as well as a great fighter. That sounds like fun. :P
Hmm..Well, since I just finished reading Forest Born (Shannon Hales 4th Book of Bayern) I think it'd be pretty cool to have the ability to have animal speaking. Not necessarily to have control over anything, but to listen and to be able to communicate.
I would love to do things with my mind. The house and dishes would get done a lot sooner!

I think having the powers to heal others would be awesome. (I've been reading Lord of The Rings and I really think the Elves are cool ;))
It would be cool to have a power that you have to learn to use, or to hone sort of like that or like witches and wizards in HP.
I'd want to be able to freeze time like Piper on Charmed (and then later be able to blow stuff up!) I've also always wanted to time travel-not in order to change anything but because I'm a history nerd!

I would love to be a shape shifter. I have always thought the idea of turning yourself into anything else, whether it be a person, an animal or an object, would be cool. On a side note, I would never want to be able to read people's minds. I have no desire to know what other people are thinking. I think you would find out very disturbing things about some people!
