Well I am always willing to sign up for your give aways just so there is at least one. ;) I am already a follower, but I will share my view of HS too. I was an Invisible, I didn't fit into a clique of any kind. I was a non-comformist, I lived in an alcove off our PAC (performing arts center). I was an observer, had I wanted to I could have told you about the lives of every single person that passed by my spot. I wouldn't, I didn't observe to be a gossip, it was just interesting how people lived, their habits, their dates. I had quite a few 'school friends' but as to friends that I would hang out with outside of school there was a total of 9. By the end of my freshman year there were only 3 of my true friends that hadn't graduated, and lost another on the next year to a move. By my senior year I had one friend I saw outside of school, but I also had my Scott. And a month after graduation I was married to him, still am. :P

Tori, I had a Scott in HS too and married him! We met when I was in grade twelve and he was in grade 11. I went out with his best friend first and only saw him as a friend back then. But when we broke up, Scott went all OPERATION GET THE GIRL. I'd find hearts all over my locker, he'd show up at my PT job in a tux and take me to a deli in the mall for lunch, write me poetry, he even bought me a beatiful dress and hung it on my locker (I'd tried it on for a friend who needed a grad dress but the one she liked was in my size not hers. He saw it on me and bought it without me knowing. Crazy stuff. How could I not marry a gem like that?

Well, sign me up!
Okay - I once forgot to write a paper for English until I was editing the fourth one for my friends. All of a sudden I was like, "Oh, crap! I forgot to write this!"

These have all been great!

The thing I remember most about HS was the feeling that what I was doing there would change my life and make me who I was. Regardless of whether or not I would stay in touch with the people there. Some I do, some I don't, but they are all in my heart, because they are part of who I have become. No wonder I like YA so much! ;)

I was pretty quiet and shy when I was in high school. I was a good student and usually made good grades. The school that I went to had grades K-12. We called our teachers by their first name and had couches in some of our classrooms. It was a school where the learning was more self-directed. This was a wonderful place for me to grow into the person I am today: independent and confident.

I actually had a great time in HS. That was the time when I had the best social life ever, hanging out with so many kindred spirits. Ahhh ... I miss those days.
